Pool (A) Match 12:

Zimbabwe Vs Canada:

NAGPUR 28/02/2011:

Both teams before the start of the game, eyeing a win as both have started with a defeat in their opening matches. Zimbabwe chosen to bat first ,after having won the toss ,the assessment turn out awful at the start as Canadian Bowlers have initiated the possession  stiff & they got 2 quick wickets as Zimbabwe were 7/2 in 4 overs. At this crucial stage ,Tatenda Taibu & Craig Ervine batted very decorously & managed a third-wicket stand of 181 runs ,Ervine departed  for 85 while taibu becomes the victim of nervous nineties, he scored 98 ,Sean Williams also added a useful 30 while Creamer & Utseya ended the innings with some good smidgen hitting that cruises Zimbabwean overall score to 298/9 in 50 overs. Balaji Rao was the Pick of the bowlers with 4/57 in his complete 10 overs .In response Canadian Openers started things in a much nastiest manner as their 3 batsmans perished early when there was only 7 runs on the board, still no signs of aggression from the swanky All rounder John Davison who is the most senior player of this world cup. ,Hansra & Gunasekera added some runs to their tally while Surkari becomes their highest scorer with 26 ,Canada on regular intervals loses wickets ,and they were restricted to 123 in 43 overs ,with Raymond Price bowls terrifically for his 3/16 in 8 overs , Taibu for his dazzling innings was honored the man of the match.
